Celebrating and Supporting our Women Advisors
“For every woman I want to affirm being an advisor is a DREAM career – it’s rare to have flexibility, entrepreneurship and the ability to make a real difference in people’s lives as a trusted advisor.”
--Heather Hunt-Ruddy
Senior Managing Director and Divisional Leader
Wells Fargo Advisors is proud of our commitment to attracting, developing and elevating women as a cornerstone of our business. We aim to have the industry’s most talented and diverse workforce, from our next generation of advisors and home office leaders to our Operating Committee. Our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion is core to our values as a firm, with a number of key initiatives developed explicitly with the support of our women employees and client-facing advisors in mind.
Highlighting the Elements of our Women’s Initiative
Our commitment to women extends far beyond recruiting to include business development, community building and advocacy. Whether you are looking to connect with fellow advisors on a local level or hoping to advance your career path towards management, we have teams and programs in place to support your goals. Some elements of the Initiative include:
National Women’s Summit
Our National Women’s Summit is one of the longest-standing in the industry, established almost 15 years ago as an opportunity for women all over the country to come together and share best practices, hone their skills, and get exposure to all of the tools and resources our firm has to offer.
Today’s Summit includes market insights, practice management guidance, leadership development, and other topics reflective of what you, our advisors, are asking for.
This multi-day event includes interactive sessions as well as guest speakers, peer-sharing opportunities, networking, social dinners and community service development.
Women’s Manager Initiative
Wells Fargo Advisors is proud to offer a suite of community and development opportunities for our women managers as they pave the way for the next generation of financial professionals.
With quarterly best practice sharing calls, regional networking events, mentoring resources and an annual Women’s Manager Forum to coincide with our Summit, we are committed to providing a high level of support to these trailblazers every step of the way.
Women’s Best Practice Forums
Continuing the community and development of the National Women’s Summit on a local level, our regional Best Practice Forums are an opportunity for advisors to meet with their peers across lines of business to share best practices in business development, build and deepen relationships and foster open and honest conversation.
Women’s Business Exchange
The Women’s Business Exchange (WBE) is focused on connecting women throughout the organization to each other as well as to partners throughout the firm who can help grow their business.
The WBE brings together all of the firm’s resources for our advisors into one area, and highlights them throughout the year through a series of conference calls and outreach events.
Women’s Connection
The largest employee resource group across Wells Fargo, the Women’s Connection Employee Resource Network is focused on the development, engagement and support of our employees across the country.
The Team Member Network advocates for the needs of its membership with programming developed from member feedback, and provides bridges across lines of business.
This voluntary, employee-driven organization builds community among our women employees, and provides tools and programming to help our employees develop both personally and professionally.
